This Autumn, the MMSP members are involved in quite a number of events.
Starting October 9th, 2025, Francesca Gasparini and Aurora Saibene – as part of the TecSEDU interdepartmental laboratory – are launching the “Bbetween – Tecnologie emergenti e sorveglianza. Una riflessione attraverso il cinema” course. The group intends to explore the role of emerging technologies in the context of surveillance, emphasizing the implications that they may have on individuals and society.
On October 14th, 2025, Francesca Gasparini and Alessandra Grossi will travel to Rome for the 14th Forum of Italian Ambient Assisted Living (ForItAAL 2025) to present their works

From October 15th to October 17th, 2025, an MMSP wave will invade the NeuroMI annual meeting:
- On October 15th, 2025, Aurora Saibene will present “Reading the brain to monitor the mind – Surveillance and security in the age of neurotechnologies and artificial intelligence” co-authored with the TecSEDU laboratory members.
- On October 17, 2025, Giulia Rizzi and Alessandra Grossi will present “MIND-IT: a multimodal sentiment analysis system for detecting mental disorders in Italian speech”.
- During the meeting days, you will be able to enjoy the posters of our students and collaborators, Diego Corna, Nadim El Hanafi, and Giacomo Sacco, entitled
- TMS-EEG classification – a study on the use of deep learning techniques to differentiate between coil orientation and pulse waveform
- A baseline approach for measuring the quality of the execution of upper limb movements to track recovery from stroke
- TMS-EEG pre-processing – moving from blind source separation techniques to time and frequency domain methodologies
co-authored with some of the MMSP members.
- Francesca Gasparini will be running around as an organizer and supervisor of the “Computational and Systems Neuroscience” research area of NeuroMI!
